One of the most enticing thing about meeting designers or people in the creative industry is listening to them talk about their journey. Their experiences and evolution from where they started to where they are now. Listening to Anna Sheffeild talk about every success in every stepping stone in her life as a jewelry designer is just so inspiring and oddly touching. You feel an immense serge of passion and love in the way she talks about her design. Every stage, from a phone call to the actual design process to seeing her designs in shop or on a passerby on the street…no matter how grueling, you feel its all bittersweet for her. Anna Sheffeild is someone who doesn’t take her grey hair for granted. A genuine soul. After meeting her, im able to look at her jewelry with her stories in mind. Like how she would imagine what and how Bonnie and Clyde would wear her jewelry. With every piece that i hold in my hand i would imagine Anna, in her “messy” office, beating herself up with every detail, every hammer mark, every link that she chooses to put in her chains…pulling her hair out but all with a smile on her face.
