The Derek Lam show left me speechless today. Not only because i was in love with the cut out pattern theme he had going on through out his Spring 12 collection But!! seeing Anna Wintour, Nina Garcia, Bill Cunningham, Susie bubble, Sarah Rutson, ANNA DELLA RUSSO and a bunch of other fashion celebs! I was seriously star struck. I walked up to Anna Della Russo… touched her arm and creepily asked her for a photo! URGHH!! i love her SO much… so so much. I only wish now that i took one with her. The Derek Lam show was such so exciting for Ricardo and i. After today, i totally realize just how much of a fashion Geek i am when im usually not excited to see celebrities or meet celebrities.
So, back to the show. The first dress i saw and was gasping over what the bright orange one piece with the cut out panel in front. So! gorgeous. It sort of reminded me of these traditional chinese baskets. It seems that squares were also a clear theme of the collection. The sequin dress with the squared neck line is kind of a much have. The sudden Prints that came out from backstage also wowed me.
Great collection! Congrats Derek Lam!
