Back to LA! Before coachella we stayed in LA for two nights, to rest and get over the time difference. Despite the BAD reviews online we’ve decided to experience staying at the Palihouse ourselves. Its the perfect accommodation to sleep your jetlag away! The living room is Huge, the kitchen was more then i could ever ask for! Equipped with a blender to make alcoholic smoothies. haha (when making alcoholic drinks, i recommend a straw hat, neon tee and karen walkers) An inspirational space with black carpet and no privacy in the bathroom (theres a window in the shower that looks into the living room! haha) Spent more then half my stay in the bed, rolling around…sleeping. One retarded thing was the TV, we never got it to work properly.(also too lazy to ask for help) But i was expecting a heavy dose of maury!

This is possibly one of the longest posts on the blog. I genuinely had a really good time at the Rag & Bone event. Meeting friendly designers David and Marcus, having dinner with them at one of Hong Kong’s most talked about restaurants the Yardbird. As always, im gonna let the photos do the talking. I will post the Official Rag and Bone DIY project photos up after this.
The after party, by the way, was kind of insane! We need to do this more often. haha

Wearing Mary Katrantzou is like a DREAM come true. Ever since taking that photo of Anna Della Russo in the Mary Katranzou dress at NYFW(link here) i’ve been kind of obsessed with her work. I felt fashionably important in that dress and you don’t get that with just any design. Mary is the cutest, sweetest, friendliest designer ever! She even offered me to wear the dress for the night, to wear to the Lane Crawford party. But i had some shooting to do so i couldn’t =<.
I was rather infatuated by Roksanda Ilincic’s collection. The structure of her clothes, sleek but voluminous. The dome sleeves left me speechless after a quick “wow, what the fuck? this is so amazing!” I need to wear this to NYFW, need need neeeeed. Im a sucker for clothes that have unique, thoughtful and flattering structures. Mary and Roksanda definitely stood out for me last night.

I love doing these event posts! Brings me back to the xanga days haha where i just take pictures everywhere i went. Doing these posts also allows me to expand my blog a little… u know.. so that its not always just ME. Which also allows me to link some of the amazing people in this industry (and by this industry i mean people i know with a URL,basically.) The Hong Kong blogger community is getting bigger, better and definitely closer!

Recently been learning the joy of being alone. The joy of slowing down. Do you ever listen to an old song, or watch an old movie and it instantly throws you back to that exact moment when you first heard it, that immensely significant stage or moment in your life, the ones you will never forget and you just can’t help but wonder all the what ifs and all the buts because now at this moment, maybe months or years later, you are who you are. White spot, cactus club, japa dog, safeway, costo, grouse, whistler… pretty much sums up Vancouver for me. I don’t know any other place that is more like an enormous retirement home then Vancouver and i mean that in the best way possible. It’s just so chill and laid back. Where people are friendly, have memorable childhoods and parking spaces are very forgiving. The first thing i recommend doing is taking Deep breathes of fresh air. I guarantee it’s sweet and crisp.

I am back!! the blog was MIA for a while and now thats back too! Shanghai, anytime i get to go to shanghai i feel an urge to stuff random foods down my throat. To be honest eating abroad is sometimes more important then shopping, it’s all about the experience right? and you get a real sense of their culture. That is unless you’re going to Paris or Japan where both is equally important.
Shanghai weather is beautiful. The only thing that really annoys me are the Cabs…Taxis. The white cloth they put on the seats, the subtle unpleasant scents. You know you’re uncomfortable when you don’t rest your head and is stiff as a board.
Aside from all of that, i was in Shanghai for Swarovski Crystalized event and press event.
A ton of amazing jewelry, something that makes getting in those cabs all worth while! update tomorrow.
