I had the chance to take a quick break from Hong Kong to fly over to District’s new showroom in Taipei the other day. District is a distribution company that markets brands and consults with other companies for sales and other projects. They’re the ones that distribute Karen Walker, Rivieras, Incase and Jared’s favorite native shoes haha. It’s crazy to see the company grow so quickly and expand throughout Asia, and it makes me get even more ambitious. I’m working on getting an office now. You know, baby steps.

When you spend half your weeks in the better part of China you end up getting A lot of work done. Not only that but you end up catching up on a lot of crappy old movies (hence the title of this post). Not complaining though! So quitting smoking sucks, not because of the cravings but mainly because of the weight gain! seriously! I know it’s just a phase and once you’ve successfully quit you will lose the weight but the process is just so hard to watch. I apologize because you’re suffering from this as much as i am.

MEETING ISABEL MARANT

About a week or two ago, Isabel Marant came to Hong Kong for the opening if the Isabel Marant shop; located on Ice house street  in Central. The shop wasn’t nearly as big as the Isabel shop i went to in NYC last year. It’s an Isabel Marant concentrate shop. I mean… in Hong Kong thats what i find is always the problem, good spaces aren’t easy to come by. Like the Alexander wang shop at Harbor City. You go in, and its nicely put together… you just wish there was more space. Lack of aesthetics. But nonetheless maybe thats what Hong Kong has grown to be accustomed to. Walk in, shop and out. Im all about the space.
