Coming from Hong Kong, I think we are treated with a view of one of the best skylines in the world. The bright lights and tall buildings– they’re always inspirational in showing how far we can reach. The city is merciless and back-breaking, but the skyline is a nice reminder that even if we have to give everything up to be here, at the end of the day we get to live in an exciting, fast-paced place. I guess I’m just trying to say that you should never take anything for granted. Sometimes the things that you want are actually right in front of you.

DISTRICT TAIPEI

I had the chance to take a quick break from Hong Kong to fly over to District’s new showroom in Taipei the other day. District is a distribution company that markets brands and consults with other companies for sales and other projects. They’re the ones that distribute Karen Walker, Rivieras, Incase and Jared’s favorite native shoes haha. It’s crazy to see the company grow so quickly and expand throughout Asia, and it makes me get even more ambitious. I’m working on getting an office now. You know, baby steps.
